Women and the Environment: Localized Struggles for Climate Justice

Join us on July 17 for a webinar dedicated to women and environmental activism. We will discuss how climate change, industrial exploitation, and energy poverty especially impact the lives of rural and regional women.

Discussion topics include:

  • The impact of recent climate changes on the daily lives of women living in Armenia’s regions
  • Syunik: Women and the mining industry
  • Environmentally responsible agricultural practices and women’s challenges, with examples from hydroponic systems and composting
  • A study of women’s experiences in rural Armenia related to heating practices, in the context of climate change

This webinar is a platform to amplify overlooked stories of women confronting environmental and climate crises—often without the resources or support they need.
