During the month of July, we held several meetings with colleagues from various groups. One of these meetings was our annual gathering with colleagues who run programs for women over 40. This year, we aimed to expand the participant circle, including not only colleagues from different marzes but also women from various communities who participate in these programs.
During the meeting, we discussed a range of issues. We talked about how life differs in Yerevan compared to other regions, and how the experiences of women vary depending on their social status and age groups. We also highlighted the importance of intergenerational discussions and meetings. In this process, our partners shared the achievements of their programs and their future plans. Some businesswomen emphasized that these meetings were often the only place where women could meet like-minded individuals, share their concerns, and feel safe.
“Since Friday, we have been waiting for Sunday to attend these meetings, to go out, to escape from the house. We are very grateful.”

“60+ does not mean that we are too old. We also have different goals and plans for the future. All that is only in our heads. It doesn’t matter whether we are 40+, 50+, or something else.”

“If the trainings were available earlier, the education of our children would be different. Nothing like this has happened in our time.”
