In the day and age of AI, the WFA team has been having consistent conversations on what it means to mobilize different Feminist initiatives across Armenia when so much of our imagination is constrained and outsourced to Artificial Intelligence.
More and more, the applications that we receive tell the same story and express the same idea. A lot of them even have the same title! Whether this is because the use of AI has increased when writing applications or because our imagination is constrained by the influx of information around us, there is a critical need to have a conversation on the most important aspect of activism and advocacy: Feminist creativity.
The WFA team invites all Feminists, grassroots activists, and community organizers to a public, interactive workshop exploring what feminist creativity means today, how we can recognize and challenge formulaic approaches to activism, and how we can strengthen our capacity to develop initiatives that respond meaningfully to the realities around us.
The workshop will create space for an honest conversation about the challenges we encounter in project development and grant applications, the relationship between imagination and community mobilization, and the importance of understanding people’s needs before deciding what an initiative should look like.
