We spent another memorable day with a different group of partners on July 26, during which we discussed the future plans of our initiatives and organizations. Such meetings are unique gatherings where we reconnect with reality, share our fears and boldest plans, and address the needs within working teams and activist groups. These discussions form the basis for more targeted fundraising efforts and reconnections.
During the meeting, the presence of a team welfare element in our cooperation with the Fund was emphasized. Some partners mentioned that only with the WFA did they have the opportunity to care for their physical and mental health alongside their programs or activism. We all agreed that extended feminist communities are indescribably tired and exhausted, yet incredibly resilient. Through the programs, we were able to bring in professionals who provided invaluable advice to the teams working with women facing various challenges.
We also discussed the minimal tension within the programs. It was important to reaffirm that we all share similar goals, and the objective is not to manage the flow of finances of women’s groups and organizations but to channel them appropriately. It was particularly meaningful for us to hear that the Fund’s attitude towards its partners is clearly reflected in the partners’ attitudes and approaches towards their beneficiaries.
This meeting also gave us the opportunity to evaluate the situation based on various experiences, for which we are grateful to our resilient and mindful partners. Several new plans and actions were developed in the days following the discussion, which we will share in our future publications.
